Blind Dating

Blind Dating is a comedic animation about a girl getting ready for a blind date, only to find out it is literally blind. Despite all her effort, she ends up wearing a blindfold at the event. The short-form animation uses visual storytelling inspired by Ellen Lupton’s Design is Storytelling. With no dialogue, the narrative relies entirely on expressive sound effects and a tight, vibrant color palette to drive the humor and pacing.

Color plays an important role in telling the story. The character’s emotions shift throughout, and I emphasized that through expressive facial features and playful visual cues like question marks, puzzle pieces, and bold color choices.
